Missions Moment – Ivory Coast

Do you remember the photo with me, my suitcases and the Cote d’Ivoire or BUST sign last month?

I have arrived!! As of the weekend, I am now at The Baptist Mission Hospital in Ferkessedougou, Cote d’Ivoire, renewing old relationships. I will soon be getting into a new groove of ministry for a season. Getting a visa was difficult and took more than two weeks of efforts on my part in Bamako, Mali. The reasons aren’t completely clear but having been in Guinea back in June is definitely a factor. The EBOLA outbreak is making other countries leery to grant travel freedoms to those who have been in infected countries….even when it was 4 months ago.

Pray that I may graciously walk thru the open doors of ministry during the weeks ahead!

Praise God that I can look forward to living and working alongside many Ivorian Christians. What a ministry change for me!

Pray for protection and fruitfulness for my teammates with WorldVenture in Guinea right now….Kendalls.

Praise & Prayer that we can have HIS peace in this chaotic world!

Pray for my home helper HAWA who has advanced cancer. Her family has chosen not to do surgery. The doctors have said the surgery couldn’t cure the cancer but could make her more comfortable. Closed borders due to Ebola have a role in this decision. This makes me so sad!

God is Good…All the Time, All the Time….God is Good! Even when it doesn’t feel like it!
