Marty and Denise Shaw, WorldVenture
We want to give you a short update and prayer need for the next 10 days. Marty will be traveling to Nepal, leaving tomorrow, Sunday 3rd, and returning Tuesday May 12th. He will be meeting up with another person in Bangkok and traveling into Kathmandu. While there, they will be connecting with another WorldVenture person and doing survey work and meeting with local churches and leaders. The goal is to meet with our in-country partners and discussing and assessing our future ministry and aid for the victims of the earthquake.
He will be taking in supplies to give people and all his food and water filters. Over the last ten years he worked with five major natural disasters. While each one is different they do open new doors.
Marty will covet your prayers for safety in the midst of aftershocks, uncertain health conditions, and for the meetings and survey work that will be done. WorldVenture seeks to serve and aid in the weeks and months to come, as life will continue to be hard for a long time in Nepal. We want to be a light and testimony to hurting and needy people.
