Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
according to His power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church
and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever! Amen.
~Ephesians 3:20-21

Several years ago, I was a part of a church building campaign that was titled “Imagine”. Based on Ephesians Imagine3:20 (quoted above), the campaign encouraged the congregation to imagine a facility that encouraged newcomers, especially the un-churched, to enter into a deep relationship with Christ. At the time, the church was meeting in a school gym. Similar to our situation, they had to set up and break down every Sunday.  Even worse, nothing could stay on campus since it was a public high school, so everything lived in trailers during the week.  As I sat in the gym each week, I imagined having a worship “home”.

As we continue our Still More To Come projects, I’m reminded of that slogan: “Imagine”. We’ve imagined a wonderful place that can inspire community, connection, momentum, and excitement, and I believe that God can do immeasurably more than all we’ve imagined! But the passage that speaks to me more this time around is verse 21, “to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever!” One of our elders talked about building a church for the future, for our grandchildren. And now, I not only imagine a worship home for us in the near future, I’m excited to see a Worship Center that gives all glory to God throughout all generations.

Would you join me in prayer this week, asking that we can create a worship space that would be inviting to all, for generations to come? Pray that as summer comes to an end, the Still More To Come projects get funded. And, if you haven’t participated yet, I encourage you to pray about contributing to the remodel of our Worship Center.
