Still More To Come – Priority 2

Praise God for the incredible giving in the month of December toward our Still More to Come campaign to remodel our Worship Center. From the beginning of December through last Sunday, more than $214,000 was given (this includes an 80,000 anonymous gift). This brings our current total SMTC giving to $694,899, which exceeds our original 2.1 goal of 650,000! We are now working with our construction company to look at the final plans and final projected costs (to see if we have sufficient funds for both construction and our 10% missions commitment). We are hoping to start renovations soon.

Priority 2 – There is Still More to Come!

Priority 2 is focused on creating the kind of worship environment mentioned below.

  • Priority 2 (A projected total cost of $650,000) – Projects include: stage lighting, house lights, platform expansion, platform flooring, minimum painting, removal of 14 rear pews (under balcony), minimum audio & video.

Not Done Yet:

Over the past ten months as we’ve worshipped in the gym, we’ve seen God do a new work among us. We feel closer and more connected to each other. We are more engaged in worship. Our levels of excitement and anticipation about the ministry are higher. It’s our hope to take with us the good things we’ve experienced in the gym when we move back into our Worship Center. That’s why we are asking ourselves two questions:

  1. How do we best elevate a sense of momentum, excitement, and connection in our Worship Center worship space?
  2. How do we best maximize available funds to address present realities while also building toward the future?

We believe we need an inspiring worship environment that draws people of all generations into our Worship Center and into connecting with God and each other.
