Relief for Hurricane Harvey Victims

We are encouraging donations to Salvation Army disaster relief units, now in Texas to help residents as they continue to struggle with rain, flooding, and destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey. People have lost their homes, and some have lost everything. Through Salvation Army, we can be there in their time of need, helping them in the name of Jesus Christ put their lives back together again. Donate here.

Hurricane Harvey Short-Term Mission Trip

BCC is planning to take a short-term mission trip to Houston December 16 – 22 to provide onsite assistance for the hurricane relief efforts.

If you are interested in going on the trip, please email Pastor Steve Durand: steve.durand@connectbcc.org. Pastor Steve will contact those interested to give further details.

We will be partnering on this trip with Heritage Park Baptist Church in Webster, TX, as well as with other well-coordinated church teams in the Houston area who are working closely with professional rescue workers to mobilize volunteers to make the most immediate and effective impact. Possible activities will include: clean-up of debris, distributing food and clothes, pulling up carpets in area homes to prevent mold, minor maintenance and repair work to affected homes.

Please share this information with others – whether or not they attend BCC. We welcome students/youth, friends and family and others in the community e.g., neighbors and coworkers. All are welcome to participate.

Heritage Park Baptist Church also created an Amazon wish list that is being added to all the time as new needs become apparent. All purchases will be delivered directly to the church of Pastor Steve’s friend, and they will make sure that the supplies get put into the right hands.

If you have any questions about the trip or want to help in other ways, please contact Pastor Steve at steve.durand@connectbcc.org.
