Christian Resolve

Series: LEADING THE WAY

David Collister - May 24, 2015

Sometimes God calls his followers into challenging circumstances. Jesus himself said “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” This essentially means we can expect hardship!… which, of course, we don’t particularly like. I know I don’t! And yet, Christians are called to be faithful even when it might otherwise be hard because it’s precisely these times that are often the most helpful in advancing of the gospel.

This Sunday, as we continue our series in the book of Acts, we’ll see how the apostle Paul was able to faithfully follow God in the midst of incredible hardship and trial. And the hope is it will help us, when the day comes (or perhaps for you that day is now!), when we too might glorify God in the midst of challenging circumstances.
