Hope for Troubled Hearts

If you were afraid of the dark when you were little, you likely wanted someone older to be with you in those moments in order to reassure you that everything would be okay. And like little children, we too need the reassuring words of our heavenly Father to give us proper perspective and to help us in times of trouble. Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble” (John 16:33). He didn’t say that to depress his followers, but to prepare them. Because no matter where you live, how much money you have in the bank, or how much you plan, you’ll never be able to create a trouble-free life. However, while there are reasons to be troubled, we’re going to see in this week’s message that there is a greater reason not to be.
