Illuminate Girls’ Conference

Please join us this year at the 6th annual Illuminate the Bay Girls’ Conference!  This is an amazing weekend of building faith and relationships.  The Illuminate Girls Conference was founded in 2011 with a desire to see Bay Area churches come together to inspire, empower and propel girls to think outside of themselves and change the world around them for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

When is the conference?
Friday, September 29 – Saturday, September 30 @ Redwood Chapel Community Church (19300 Redwood Rd., Castro Valley)

Who can go?
Girls going into grades 6 – 12 are welcome to attend.  This is a great event for mothers and daughters!

What is the theme this year?
“Warrior – Enlist, Train, Deploy: We do not go unarmed, but equipped, and prepared for battle. It is in His strength that we fight. He is Victorious. Be His WARRIOR.”.

What is the cost?
$90/student which includes all meals, lodging and transportation to and from the event. For more information about the conference, please go to

How do I register?
Click HERE to register and submit the form for each student attending.  Deadline to register is September 18.

How do I pay?
Provide payment (either cash – exact change greatly appreciated or check made out to “BCC” with your “Student Name + Illuminate” in the Memo line) to Vivian Yasutake in the Church Office by September 18.  The Church Office is open Monday – Thursday from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.  Payment can also be mailed to Attn:  Vivian Yasutake, Illuminate Girls Conference, 625 Magdalena Ave., Los Altos, CA 94024.

When will we leave for the conference?  
Students will meet at BCC on Friday, September 28 at 3:30 pm.  Dinner will be ordered ahead of time and we will eat en route to Redwood Chapel Community Church.

What if I have to arrive later or depart earlier than the rest of the group?
If you need to schedule a late arrival and/or an early pick-up for your student, please let Vivian know so we can plan accordingly for transportation.

Where will we be staying?
Holiday Inn Express Castro Valley (2419 Castro Valley Blvd., Castro Valley)

What time will we come back?  
Approximately 8:00/9:00 pm on Saturday, September 30.  We will have dinner together as a group after the conference ends before heading home.

What do I need to bring?

  • Bible
  • Something to write on (notepad/notebook) and write with (pencil/pen)
  • Flashlight
  • Any medications required with detailed instructions
  • Clothes & Shoes
  • Toiletries
  • Water bottle
  • Extra spending money to purchase items from conference – there will be booths with t-shirts, water bottles, stickers and books
