Daryl Winslow

Deaconess Treasurer, Service to Seniors Chair, Women’s Ministry

Daryl has been an active member of Bridges Community Church since 1999. Over the years, she has served in various Life Group officer posts, attended and facilitated “I Peter 3 Partners” and various Women’s Bible Studies, helped launch Women Mentoring Women in spring of 2003 and the Heart to Heart Discipleship program in 2007. Since 2004, she has served on the Women’s Ministry Planning Committee. After attending a DivorceCare program in 2015 at Westgate Church, Daryl co-launched and led DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids programs at BCC in 2018 until 2020 when the baton was passed on to the next facilitator. In 2017, Daryl was invited to serve on the Deaconess Board and began serving as the Treasurer and Memorial Reception Committee Co-lead. Daryl has enjoyed studying with BSF since 2016.

To ensure the church gives a voice and support to pre-born children, Daryl has been active in raising awareness and fundraising for RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics (formerly Community Pregnancy Center) through their annual Walk for Life Fundraiser. Daryl also has a heart for vulnerable and orphaned children (VOC) and widows in Kenya. Since 2014, Daryl also has been serving as the US Volunteer Project Manager, raising awareness and soliciting prayer support and financial support for Christ Care Ministries International (CCMI), an orphanage and elementary academy in upcountry Migori, Kenya. Started by a 19-year-old Christian man who was the child of a rape, his ministry reveals that every life has purpose as he uses all his gifts to share the gospel in word and in deed.

Daryl holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont. She was a chip designer for Texas Instruments and Cypress Semiconductor before co-founding a subcontract manufacturing company in 1987, where she managed finance, accounting, HR, EHS, IT, customer service, sales, contract review, facilities, and manufacturing for over 20 years. In 2017, she retired from her work in the semiconductor industry and has been focused on joyfully serving the Lord ever since.

Daryl enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, children, and friends while cooking, barbecuing, eating, playing games, going on adventures (traveling, hiking, snorkeling, sailing, zip-lining, parasailing, flying, cruising), spending time in God’s creation, studying God’s word, and singing praises to the Lord Jesus.

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” Exodus 50:20
