We have a vibrant and growing special needs ministry here at BCC for kids with disabilities and their families. It is our desire that people affected by disabilities and their families develop into fully committed Christ-followers. Just as God shows His great love and compassion for us every day, we want to follow our Lord’s example in learning to love and serve one another in practical ways.
Sunday Mornings
We offer 1 to 1 buddies for Kinder-5th grade kids with special needs during our worship service at 10:45am. Our goal through inclusion is to provide instruction and social interaction to communicate God’s love and grace to all children with special needs, as well as to develop a support system for parents of special needs children. We also offer periodic respite care events that are free of charge and that include game and craft time, movies, and snacks.
For more information about our elementary activities or to request a special needs “buddy” for your child, contact Shannon Durand.
Respites
Periodically throughout the year, we offer a Respite for Families of Special Needs Children. Children with disabilities and their siblings (ages 0-12) are invited to BCC for an afternoon of fun, and parents can enjoy some time away to recharge their batteries.
