The church is the one place a person should be able to count on for experiencing love. In large measure. In ways that make others stand up and take notice, and long to experience the same love in their own lives.

Sadly, this is not always the case. Too often the church is more about rules and judgement, or social causes, or having our own needs met, than it is about simply living a life of love together. What’s up with that? It’s certainly not reflective of God’s plan or desire for the church.

If only the church loved like God intends. In ways that show the world the glory and heart of our Maker and Creator. In ways that make others long for what the church has. Our study in I John today will help us see what it means to live out that kind of love, and how we can make it a greater reality here at Bridges Community Church.
