We are stepping into what we believe to be God’s vision for our next 85 years of ministry. Committed to our core objectives of displaying people matter, truth matters, and the Gospel is our only hope, we will create inviting spaces for this generation and the next to experience sound Biblical teaching, connect with others in strong community, and make a lasting impact from our neighborhood to the ends of the earth.
We firmly believe that God has brought and continues to bring people to our doorstep, and our church is experiencing exciting growth—especially of young families. The community around us is not only longing for a place where they can connect relationally, but there are also signs that many in Silicon Valley are awakening to their spiritual needs. These shifts present a unique opportunity and responsibility for us to make a lasting impact. At this moment, Bridges’ health and unity have reached a high point, offering a strong foundation for us to transform and advance our facilities and ministries.
Our NEXT85 Initiative
Community Space
We love spending time together on the patio! This renovation will allow our fellowship to continue all year long and be in close proximity to our new kids’ ministry space, making it more accessible to our young families.
Kids’ Ministry
Our new kids’ ministry space will allow for a single secure drop-off point for all kids, nursery through 5th grade. New attenders will easily find the kids’ area connected to the Worship Center. Parents will be better able to focus during our services knowing that their kids are nearby and safe. Kids will love the themed designs pointing them to Jesus and His love for them.
Adult Life Groups
With these renovations, more spaces will be available for adult Life Groups to enjoy living room style meeting areas. These inviting settings will provide better opportunities for conversations and new people to feel at home.
Big Picture
We’re enhancing our patio community space, we’re simplifying and securing kid drop-off for families (especially new families), we’re increasing our dedicated adult Life Group space, and we’re addressing needed renovations to our facilities. We believe all of these improvements will significantly improve our ability to share Christ at Bridges!
What Will It Take?
To accomplish everything we believe God is calling us to do, we’re inviting our church family to increase our collective generosity by about 135% for the next two years. To streamline our focus, we’re combining all donations into one unified fund. Our new united NEXT85 fund will allow us to nearly
double our missions giving, continue all of our current ministries, and make campus improvements for greater ministry effectiveness.
Over the past two years, Bridges has received approximately $3.8 million in general fund tithes and offerings, including $550,000 specifically
designated for missions.
Looking ahead through the NEXT85 initiative, we are prayerfully seeking to grow our general fund giving to $4 million while also raising an additional $4.8 million. Of that $4.8 million, $4.35 million will go toward the capital project, with $450,000 dedicated to missions. Altogether, this brings our total giving goal for the next two years to $8.8 million.
