Little Tongue, Big Trouble

Here’s a riddle for you: we all possess something that can make us feel like a prisoner or set us free; can make us feel like a criminal or like a king; can build us up or break us down; can start a fire in our hearts or put it out.

Give up? Come this Sunday to find out! (Just kidding, it's in the sermon title). We all know the words we speak have incredible potential for good or ill. Thing is, we aren't mindful enough of this reality and it can cause serious damage...to ourselves and to others. This Sunday, we get some important reasons from Scripture for why we need to keep a watchful eye on the words we say.

Due to a pipe burst in the Worship Center women's restroom and subsequent repairs, worship services this Sunday, August 17, will be relocated to the gym. All other ministries will function as normal. Thanks for your understanding and flexibility!

This Week's Sermon: "Supernatural Healing"

God wants to use Christ-followers to bring supernatural healing… which, is kind of a crazy thought, isn’t it? The Bible teaches that, in Christ, we have access to a healing power that is literally out of this world. The problem is we don’t often see it this way. Instead, we tend to minimalize what God is doing – or wants to do – in the lives of those around us. And as a result, we can fail to join him in some amazing work.

This week, we finish our summer series in the book of James, “Faith Does”, to see how we can effectively join God in bringing supernatural healing to those around us.
