The Bible makes it clear that God is sovereign over everything that happens in this world and in our lives. He is in control. Though we may plan our steps, God directs our path. His plans will be accomplished. And everything – even things that aren’t so good – will somehow work out for good.

If we really do believe the Bible, we know that those things are true. Which means that there is a reason for everything that God allows to touch our lives. Including what’s going on in our world right now.

This Sunday we will be looking at one of the things that God is wanting to accomplish in our lives during this time as we have pushed pause on life as we’ve known it.

Frustration, mental fatigue, and weariness are all part of life, especially now. While we may not be able to change our circumstances just yet, many of us would like to change the way we feel during these circumstances, if that could be possible. The ancient people who lived during biblical times were no different. They experienced all the same ups and downs that we do, but they learned how to coach themselves through those emotions. The wisdom they learned might just help us today to uplift our souls.
