A Tale of Four People - Proverbs 18:21; 1 Samuel 25

Our words toward others can be life-giving or life-taking. We know that by experience. Who hasn’t been comforted and encouraged by the words of another? We treasure the memory of their words. And who hasn’t been wounded by something someone said? That hurt can go deep and the pain can linger a life-time.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue.

This week, through the lives of three people, we will be digging into a Bible passage that speaks about speaking. It’s something we do all the time - for better or worse.

This Week's Sermon: "How to Uplift Your Soul"

Frustration, mental fatigue, and weariness are all part of life, especially now. While we may not be able to change our circumstances just yet, many of us would like to change the way we feel during these circumstances, if that could be possible. The ancient people who lived during biblical times were no different. They experienced all the same ups and downs that we do, but they learned how to coach themselves through those emotions. The wisdom they learned might just help us today to uplift our souls.
