Government, Gatherings, and Women

Government, gatherings, and women. All three can be points of contention among Christians today. How should Christians interact with the government? What should our corporate gatherings look like? What role do women play in the church? As controversial as these questions might be in some churches today, they didn’t appear to cause much concern in the earliest church. This week, we’ll explore each of these topics and what the earliest church can teach us about our setting today.

This Week's Sermon: "The Main Thing"

As we begin another year of ministry at Bridges Community Church, now is a perfect time to remind ourselves of our mission as a church. What are we about? What is most important? As we ask those questions this week, we'll see that our mission isn't any different from the mission of the earliest church. Their priorities are our priorities. This week, we will study how we are simply the next generation of a grand tradition that dates all the way back to the first century.
