Christians have a unique perspective on what standards of holiness are meant to do. Unlike other religions whose regulations can make us feel like we are in a never ending race to measure up, the law in Christianity is meant to point us to freedom. This means, if we feel burdened by the weight of our inadequacy, we might have missed something. We might not have yet reached where the law is intended to lead us. Today we’ll experience what Jesus means when He says that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
