Entertainment Tonight

Ours is an entertainment driven world. We love the enjoyment and escape that comes from TV, movies, games, computers, music, and more. On a global scale, we are entertained to the tune of $2 trillion a year. Laughter, King Solomon said, is good for one's health. Israel’s third King made that clear when he wrote: “A merry heart does good like medicine.” There certainly is “a time to laugh” and entertainment can make that happen.

But not all that entertains is good for us. Which is why this Sunday’s message can be just what the doctor ordered. Knowing what’s healthy and what’s not is vitally important before turning on the TV, or going to the theater. It could make all the difference in the level of health we enjoy.
