A New & Better Way

Throughout Jesus’ ministry, there was never any shortage of controversies, accusations, and objections. This was due to the revolutionary nature of his teachings and actions, because they introduced a completely new paradigm, upending people’s expectations and calling for a complete reversal of old habits of living and thinking.

When you stop to think about it, not much has changed since then. For many, Jesus still disappoints and offends and confuses. So, join us this week as we continue to read through the Gospel of Mark and wrestle with the surprising message of what Jesus has to say about who is and who is not righteous before God, about the relationship between the Old Testament law and Jesus’ ministry in the New Testament, and why these things matter for us today.

This Week's Message: "Freedom from Evil" by Pastor Dan Stockum

Demon possession. Not something that the Western world talks about very often outside of horror films. But what if the many other cultures who recognize the existence of such evil have picked up on something that we have missed? What would we need to know about it? How would we recognize it? And how could we get free? This week, we study the longest passage in Scripture describing a demon possession and the liberation that Jesus brings.

Scripture Focus: Mark 5:1-20
