The Way of the Cross - Mark 8:27-38

Repetition can be a really effective teacher because sometimes, frankly, we don’t “get it” the first time (or sometimes even the second or third time). In fact, it may not be until, say, the tenth or eleventh time that a valuable lesson begins to sink in for us. And if you’ve ever experienced that, take heart! You’re in good company, because the same could be said of Jesus’ own disciples. In reality, we all have a shared collective need for divine intervention in order for us to truly begin to see and to “get it” when it comes to understanding who Jesus really is, what he came to do, and what that means for all of us.

This Week's Message: "Freedom from Evil" by Pastor Dan Stockum

Demon possession. Not something that the Western world talks about very often outside of horror films. But what if the many other cultures who recognize the existence of such evil have picked up on something that we have missed? What would we need to know about it? How would we recognize it? And how could we get free? This week, we study the longest passage in Scripture describing a demon possession and the liberation that Jesus brings.

Scripture Focus: Mark 5:1-20
