The Teammates

The Silicon Valley is all about working in teams. The bigger the project, the greater our need for teammates. Trying to get a huge job done alone is not smart.

Jesus was into working with teammates. From the start, a team approach to ministry was key to the accomplishment of His heavenly goals.

But in reality, working with teammates can often be a monumental challenge. That's why this week’s focus in Acts can be helpful for all of us. What makes a great teammate and how can I be one? This Sunday we'll learn from the example of two people who got the teammate thing right.

This Weeks Sermon: "The Persuader”

Per-suade verb Cause to believe. Convince.

Have you ever had someone talk you into something that you didn't want? They persuaded or convinced you. It happens a lot, doesn't it? It’s what sales people try to do all the time.

This week our study in Acts brings persuasion into focus through a person who was characterized as the persuader.

We’ll see what that meant and ask if it's the kind of person God wants each of us to be too. Especially when it comes to sharing our faith with others.
