No Fear

Fear happens. Especially when things change, like at this time of year. What will the future bring on the job, at school, at work, in our homes, with our kids as they leave home? Fear is a natural emotion.

This week at Bridges we begin a new series focused on God - the one who said, "Do not fear, for I am with you."

God with us. What a thought! If He's with us, then He's got this. And if He's got this, we need not live with fear. We'll see how that's possible this Sunday.

This Weeks Sermon: "No Gloom”

Some people are downright negative. That sounds like I’m one of them! Maybe, but I hope not. But those closest to me would know. Just like those closest to you know which side of the positive-negative continuum you are on.

Would you say you’re a “Yes” person or a “No” person? Is your first response optimistic or pessimistic? Do you default to being negative or positive?

Your outlook on problems, and life in general, matters. It really does. Enough that God would address it in the grandest HERE to THERE story found in the Bible. That story, which we’ll look at this Sunday, can help each one of us with our negative attitudes. And it will help each of us grow deeper in our understanding of what it means to follow God.
