I.D.

How do you define yourself? How do others define you?

Our natural instinct is to define ourselves or get our identity based upon our worth, how we look, our achievements, what we do, what we know, who we are connected to, or by what others think about us. Unfortunately, though, the more we base our identity on these things, the more overwhelmed and out-of-balance that we become.

There is a solution, however. As we celebrate Mother’s Day, this week’s message offers good news and a powerful reminder to moms, but also to anyone else who is exhausted from the pressure to do more, earn more, and be more.

From Series: "Finding Balance"

This Week's Sermon: "Getting Off The Grid"

This week we finish our Finding Balance series - but not really. Though the message series will be over, finding balance will be a lifelong challenge. One worthy of our best efforts and unceasing dependence on God.

Jesus lived in perfect balance. Even when His life was chaotic, demanding, and depleting. When there were still so many needs to be met. He knew the importance of finding balance.

How Jesus responded in the midst of the pressures of life is as applicable today as it was then. This Sunday we'll see why, as we focus on a final matter that can give us help for living with the balance we need.
