Sue Mechling

Sue accepted Jesus Christ in 1954 in Sunday School. She was raised in a Christian home and grew to love and treasure her Lord and Savior the more she learned about him. She became a member of Bridges (then First Baptist Church of Los Altos) and was baptized in 1965. A few years later, she started teaching preschool Sunday School, then served for 30+ years in choir and music ensembles. During that time, she also worked with the high school youth as an adult sponsor, traveling with the high school choir on many of their concert tours. Sue joined the Deaconess Board in 2016 and finds it a real blessing to serve our church in this way. She worked as a Dental Hygienist for 45 years before retiring in 2013. She has two married daughters and four grandchildren.
