When it comes to excuses for not plugging into a local church, hypocrisy is high on the list. “I’m not interested. The church is full of hypocrites.”

Fakers, frauds, and fabricators. Tragic isn’t it? Especially when you consider the story of Ananias and Sapphira found in Acts 5, the biblical passage we will be examining this Sunday. Through this incident, God Himself made it very clear to the early church that He takes lying very seriously.

But to this day, good people – church people – fake it. What’s up with that? We’ll find out this Sunday.
