Venturing Out in Faith

Matthew 9:18-22

In Scripture, we often see Jesus healing the sick, raising the dead, and restoring what is broken. We might be skeptical about those accounts, but we would also like to see them in our own lives. However, does God still work that way today? This week we will hear Dustin Keele’s story that shows God is still very active in intervening in our lives in miraculous ways.

Sermon Transcript

While he was saying these things to them, behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying, my daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and she will live. And Jesus rose and followed him with his disciples. And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for 12 years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, for she said to herself, if I only touch his garment, I will be made well. Jesus turned and seeing her he said, take heart, daughter, your faith has made you well. And instantly the woman was made well.

And when Jesus came to the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, he said, go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping. And they laughed at him, but when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand And the girl arose. And the report of this went through all that district.

Well, here we are. We are in week 3 of our summer series called This Is My Story, showing how God works the same today as he has always worked. The principles that we find in scripture are the principles of our lives. And if you’re new with us or just joining us after a break, a reminder, This Is My Story. We are taking, uh, rotating through several of our ministry leaders throughout the church who are sharing a testimony.

They are sharing a word with us, a story from their lives and connecting it to scripture. Today we will hear from Dustin Keel. Who has a story of God working in his life in ways that some of us might be a little skeptical, but also would love to experience for ourselves. In Matthew 9:18-22, we encounter a remarkable story of faith, healing, and restoration. While Jesus is speaking, a synagogue ruler approaches him with an astonishing request.

My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and she will live. As Jesus follows him, another desperate person enters the story, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for 12 years. Believing that merely touching the fringe of Jesus’ garment would heal her, she reaches out in faith. Jesus turns, sees her and says, take heart, daughter. Your faith has made you well.

Immediately, she is healed. At first glance, this passage is about 2 miracles, yet these miracles reveal something much bigger about the character and mission of Jesus. They show us that God is committed to restoring what is broken in his creation. The Bible teaches that God created the world good, There was no sickness, suffering, death, or separation from him. But when sin entered the world, it brought devastating consequences.

Disease, pain, broken relationships, injustice, and death itself became part of the human experience. The world no longer functioned— functions as God originally intended. Every hospital, funeral, tragedy reminds us that something is wrong. Jesus’ miracles are God’s response to that brokenness. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus heals the sick, he restores sight to the blind, enables the lame to walk, calms the storm, casts out demons, feeds the hungry, and raises the dead.

These miracles are not random displays of power or merely opportunities to impress people. They reveal God’s heart for a world damaged by sin. Each miracle is a glimpse of creation being put back together the way it was always meant to be. The woman in this story experienced multiple forms of brokenness. For 12 years, she suffered physically.

According to the ceremonial laws of the time, her condition would also have brought social and religious isolation. She likely lived with shame, loneliness, and disappointment. Yet, with a touch, Jesus restored her. He did not merely remove a physical symptom, he addressed her deeper wound. Notice that he calls her daughter, a term of affection and belonging.

Jesus restores her health and her place within the community. The ruler’s daughter represents an even greater enemy, death itself. Death is the ultimate sign that the world is not as it should be. By eventually raising this girl from the dead, Jesus demonstrates his authority over death. Over the greatest consequences of sin.

He shows that death will not have the final word. These miracles also remind us that God still works in miraculous ways today. Christians throughout history have testified to God’s healing, provision, protection, and intervention in circumstances that cannot be easily explained. God remains powerful and active in his world. He still answers prayers and can still bring miraculous restoration according to his will.

At the same time, not every prayer for healing receives an immediate answer. Faithful believers still get sick. Loved ones still die. Suffering remains a reality. This passage helps us understand why.

Jesus’ miracles were never intended to eliminate all suffering immediately. Rather, they were signs pointing to something greater, the coming kingdom of God in its fullness. Every miracle Jesus performed was a preview of the future he came to establish. They point forward to the day when Christ returns and completes the restoration of all things. Scripture promises a future in which there will be no more death, no more mourning or crying or pain.

Sin will be removed, creation will be renewed, and everything broken will be made whole. The healing of the woman and the raising of the ruler’s daughter are small pictures of that coming reality. Matthew 9, therefore, gives believers both hope and perspective. It reminds us that God cares deeply about human suffering and he still works powerfully in the world today. More importantly, It points us to the ultimate restoration that Jesus has secured through his death and his resurrection.

His miracles are not merely acts of compassion for individuals. They are signs of a future kingdom where every wound will be healed, every wrong will be set right, and all of creation will be restored to the goodness God intended it to be from the beginning. Would you help me welcome up this morning my friend Dustin Keel?

Thanks, man. Let me say a word of prayer for you and then they’re all yours. Lord God, I thank you for this story that you are going to share through Dustin today. God, this is Dustin’s story, but it is also your story because you are the one who has been working in his life from the beginning. God, I pray that this message today is a word of encouragement, is a word of inspiration, that this message today ultimately is your Holy Spirit speaking through Dustin.

God, open our ears and our minds to hear from you today, and God, may we be drawn in nearer to you each and every moment. In Jesus’ precious and holy name I pray, amen. Amen. Thank you, Nate. I appreciate it, brother.

Well, good morning, everybody. I see a lot of familiar faces out here, but for those of you who don’t know me— oh yes, those most familiar faces, they’re my favorite. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Dustin Keel. Unlike some of you who were born and raised here in the Bay Area, I was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma. So if you’ve ever seen the state, that’s like right there, kind of the buckle of the Bible Belt, if you will.

Baptized at the age of 12, grew up in a household that had some extreme business success. Like, my grandfather had been extraordinarily successful, my dad was successful, and I grew up with that mentality of like, oh, you really got to go after it, and you really have to prove yourself, prove your mettle. And, you know, did well in high school, was president of my class, applied to colleges, was told I was a shoo-in, and got waitlisted at Harvard. And, you know, nobody comes off the waitlist for Harvard because no one declines the invitation to attend. So, I mean, there’s one person who did, but he has an extraordinary story.

In any case, I ended up going to SMU for undergrad. And, you know, at that point in my life, Jesus was my Savior, but he wasn’t really my Lord. And a great example of that is that, you know, I was in a fraternity, I was a Sigma Chi, so if any Sigma Chis out there, you know, in hoke, my brothers. But it was a lot of fun, and I would go out and I would have fun at parties, and if God woke me up on a Sunday morning, well then sure, I’ll go to church. And you’d be surprised how many services I actually did make, but it was a lot of fun.

And then I graduated, and you know, while I was in school, the whole dot-com boom started to happen. It was amazing, and, you know, I saw all these things happening, and I thought, oh, man, I can’t wait to get out and start a company and go raise a bunch of money. I mean, you know, people were just giving billions of dollars to kids, and I thought, man, I’ve got to be one of those people. I actually wrote a business plan with my college roommate, Patrick Phelan, for a company we called Ameriflix, which was essentially Netflix before Netflix existed. Unfortunately, you know, my timing wasn’t right.

I talked to my dad. I was like, hey, Dad, I think I’m going to drop out of school. Start this company. He’s like, Dustin, you have the rest of your life to make money. College is 4 years.

This is all you got. Don’t walk away. That’s his recommendation, not his requirement. But so I stayed, and then I graduated in 2001. And if any of you know, 2001 was the first dot bomb, and it was really, really rough for a guy who was trying to prove himself and who believes that, you know, I’ve got to bootstrap this thing.

It was emotionally devastating, and I had to find a different way. So, a fraternity brother of mine had a family company that was an import-export company, and they were doing well, and they wanted to expand into Europe. So, Brad Harper and I leave to go to Europe, and I’m director of international business development, and we’re exploring all these different countries over there to see which one’s going to be the best fit for an initial market launch. Well, we do this, and, you know, it ends up we move to the UK. And the UK is the second best fit.

Really, Germany was best, but it’s details, minutiae. What’s important is we’re signing on our flat. We’re finally going to move out of hotel rooms that we’ve just been in for months. And as we walk into the agent’s office, we see the news is on and there’s an airplane flying into the World Trade Center. And it was 9/11.

It was crazy. And it was especially crazy because Brad’s father worked across the street from the World Trade Centers. And having grown up in Edmond, Oklahoma, I’d already lived through the Murrah Building bombing, and I knew that cell phones wouldn’t work. So we went out and bought, you know, the biggest orange cell cards that we could and just started texting until we were able to track him down. By God’s grace, his dad was fine, but the company was not.

The company was utterly dependent upon smooth transaction of trade flows across borders, and 9/11 wrecked that. So, here I am yet again, back to the United States. But God causes all things to work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. And if I hadn’t come back, I wouldn’t have met my wonderful wife, Christine, who’s here, and we’ll be celebrating 20 years this year. Pretty amazing stuff, right?

Awful experience at the time, totally worth it. I came back to the US, got into commercial real estate. I’m managing real estate portfolios for publicly traded companies. I’m working on 30 to 40 deals at any given time, going all over the country. Fly into rando places to open up offices.

It is, it’s a lot of fun, and it’s very appeasing to the ego and this need to succeed. Finally, I’ve got something I can sink my teeth into, and I’m feeling validated because I’m doing well. And then my top customer, Odyssey Healthcare, says, oh, you know what? You’re terrific, but your firm’s ancillary services are so-so, we think we’d like to go with you if you ever decide to leave and do your own thing. So I’m like, this is great.

I could do this. You know, Dallas is a very keep up with the Joneses kind of place at the time, at least in the social circles that I was in. And I left and they came with me. And my former employer did not like that at all. And they promptly sued me.

I’m 24 years old being personally sued I didn’t have that much money because my deal wasn’t very good, even though I brought this customer in. I just, you know, and I met with my attorneys like, Dustin, you can win this thing, but I doubt you can afford to fight it. That was a really eye-opening experience for a 24-year-old. Civil law in the United States doesn’t necessarily have to do with who’s right, who’s wrong. It’s who can afford to fight the longest.

Sued into oblivion. In that period of time, God brought a special man into my life. I was in a Texas men’s Bible study group. We had a guest speaker come. His name was Smokey John.

His real name is John Reeves. Smokey was a man of God, and boy, was he driven by the Holy Spirit. And when he finished his talk, he prayed, and I’d never heard anybody pray like that before. You see, I had heard people pray to a God that they knew about, but Smokey, when he prayed, he prayed to a God that he knew, and I wanted that. So I went up to him afterwards and I said, Smokey, you got something different than I do, and I want to know more about this.

And he’s like, okay, Dustin, come, come with me. I have a— he had a barbecue joint called Smokey John’s. They have 3 locations in Dallas now. You should go check them out. They’re excellent, terrific barbecue, but the one to go check out most of all, if you only can go to one, is on Stemmons there near downtown.

And they have on Tuesdays at 11:00 AM this thing called the Holy Spirit Hospital. It’s a lot like what I imagine heaven will look like. It’s, you know, old people, young people, rich people, poor people, people that have just gotten over drug addiction, people that have just gotten out of jail, people that have just sold their oil and gas company for a ton of money, all together, all there for one reason, to experience Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. And it was transformational for me. And I met with Smokey one-on-one, and all of a sudden this 2,000-year-old book, which didn’t really mean too much to me, and I hadn’t really spent much time in it, came to life.

And Smokey had this wonderful phrase, I’ll never forget it: memorization plus application equals transformation. And God began to write his Scriptures on my heart, and I began to learn that the Word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It was incredible, and it was a pivotal moment in my life. And one day, as I’m preparing to go meet with Smokey, I’m in the car and I hear the Holy Spirit speak. And it was an unusual experience for me, as I’m sure it would be for most of you guys, right?

And the Spirit said, hey Dustin, I want you to go to California. I’ve got something for you, and your focus out there is going to be on me. My kingdom, and I’ll provide for your family, but you need to put what you can in your car. Had a little 2-door BMW, couldn’t fit much, but put the rest in storage. So I did, and I went, and I got here to California, and Smokey was like, hey, there’s this little business— Christian Businessmen’s Committee that’s out there.

You should go meet with these guys. And it turns out that one of the people in CBMC out here was a guy named Orv Oliver. And some of you may have been at church here long enough to know Orv. And so, Orv told me about what was then FBCLA, now Bridges, and I went, and it was incredible. It was great.

I started to connect with people. I looked for a job for a month, couldn’t find anything, and I called Smokey. I was like, hey, Smokey, I’m a little confused here. I know the Holy Spirit called me out here. I really believe it in my heart, but I’m not finding anything.

And he said, okay, Dustin, I want you to ask God if he wants you to fast. And I’d never done fasting before. I mean, fasting is kind of a foreign concept for most of us as Americans. And so I did. I, I asked God and God said, pray and fast for 3 days.

And it just so happened just like that. So I pray and fast for 3 days and, you know, the first day is super weird. I’m just listening for God to speak. It’s like 2 and a half hours of just silence is very difficult. To be silent for that long and just listen.

At least it is for me, maybe it’s not for you. But all of a sudden the Holy Spirit started to speak, led me to Habakkuk chapter 2, verses 2 and 3, write down this message legibly on tablets so that later it can be read aloud and God can get the glory for it. And this is exactly what the Spirit said, hey, it’s going to be a couple of days of fellowship for you and me. On the 3rd day I’m going to do something you would never ask for or imagine. So, on the 3rd day, it happens just like that.

Don Thomas, who was a member of this church, many of you know him, calls me out of the blue. He’s like, hey, I got your name from Orv Oliver. We’ve got this Christian Business Expo. It’s coming up. You should come.

I need someone to man this booth for me, because my wife’s getting an award at Stanford. So, I did, and I go, and all of a sudden I get tied into the Christian Fellowship Network here in the Bay Area. God opens up a job for me. Life starts to turn around. God tells me then, hey, Christine’s the woman I want you to marry.

I start wooing her towards marriage, and then we get married and she moves out here. Now we’re all in the Bay Area. It’s an exciting time in life. I’m married. I’m involved with the Silicon Valley Prayer Breakfast.

I’m involved with the San Francisco Prayer Breakfast. I’m involved here at church on the foundation board. We’re having lots of fun. I’m spark— you’re Sparky. I’m teaching the Sparks back when we used to do Awana.

It’s a thriving season in life. And Christine and I, about 5 years in, decided, hey, you know what? Let’s start a family. And it was like, oh great, we’ll do this big trip to China, like a babymoon to get started, get it going. Well, that was fun.

And we went to China. It was amazing. I drank snake wine, which is like a big bottle with weird mystery juice and a snake coiled up inside. Tastes like snake. You wouldn’t think it would, but you’re like, yeah, it kind of tastes like snake.

Anyway, we come back, we’re trying, and we’re expecting to get a positive pregnancy test, and it’s not happening. And a few months go by, and it’s still not happening. And 6 months go by, and we’re like, you know, we’d probably better go see a doctor. And so we start going in and getting tested, and everything is fine. We have something called unexplained infertility.

If anyone out there is unfamiliar with this, this is where both people appear to be perfectly healthy and doctors have no clue why you’re not able to get pregnant. And months turned into years, and we got into this experimental program at Stanford, and I was so excited for this program. I was like, yes, finally something’s going to work, and it still doesn’t work. And monthly cycles of hope and disappointment turn into monthly cycles of hope and despair. And Laura mentioned this morning about sitting in the pews and singing these songs about joy to the Lord.

And, you know, sometimes some of us are going through hard seasons. For me, that was an extraordinarily hard season. And I remember I couldn’t make it through a worship song without breaking down in tears. It was really, really tough. God used that to teach me a couple of things.

He used it to teach me that there are some experiences in this life that you can’t truly understand unless you go through them personally, and there are some times when God comforts us in our affliction so that we can be a comfort to others in theirs. So if anyone here is suffering with infertility, I just want to invite you, if you see me outside, come talk to me. I understand it’s fiercely private, but you’re welcome to come talk to me. So here begins the kind of the crux of my story that, you know, Dan and Nate had wanted me to share with you today. It’s spring of 2013.

I have this crazy dream about Ethiopia. And in the dream, I wasn’t in Ethiopia in the dream. I was actually in a corporate cafeteria talking to a broken man about Jesus. But But something profound had happened in Ethiopia in this dream. And when I woke up, I had this sense that I just had to go, right?

And I tapped Christine. I was like, honey, I just had this crazy dream. I think I got to go to Ethiopia. And she’s like, oh, whatever. I got to go back to sleep.

So, you know, so it happens. And we had sponsored a couple of kids the fall before this through Compassion International that happened to be in Ethiopia. And then, you know, a couple months roll by, and our church at the time says, hey, we are going to take a mission trip with Compassion International to Ethiopia at the end of the summer. Anybody that wants to sign up, come sign up after service. And I was like, ah, this is clearly it.

We’ve got to go. So we go, and we sign up. And leading up to Ethiopia, I’m praying with my accountability partner, this guy, Brandon Brent Duesing, great brother in Christ. And we’re praying because you hear all these amazing stories about physical manifestations of the Holy Spirit in Africa. And while I had experienced the Holy Spirit speaking to me, I hadn’t seen like a healing miracle yet.

I really wanted to see one. I was praying specifically, I want to see someone with a little shriveled arm reach out and that arm’s like brand new. You know, something like that, something really cool. And so we pray and we go and the The trip approaches and, uh, and we fly to Ethiopia. We got our visas.

We got everything, man. Ethiopia is far. If you’ve never been to Ethiopia, it’s so far removed. Not only are you in a different time zone, it’s a different date there. I mean, like it’s a different year.

They’re not even on the Gregorian calendar. It is, uh, it is just completely separate from what we know as Westerners. And it’s gorgeous. It’s an amazing country. We spend the first day in Addis Ababa.

Next day we head out to Adama, which has— the town has 2 names, Adama and Nazareth. And as we’re there, we’re like, okay, this is cool. We start meeting the kids in the center, and we’re going around and we’re meeting each person that’s part of the mission trip. We’re meeting their sponsor kids and their sponsor kids’ families. And it’s extremely touching.

And you’re drinking this buna over there, which is coffee. If you’ve never been, Ethiopian coffee is superb. And they roast it by hand, by the batch, as they’re going to make coffee for you. And they grind it by hand. And then they serve it, and it’s super-duper strong.

And they serve it with popcorn, which is kind of fun. So, if you haven’t tried it, try coffee with popcorn. It’s a pretty good pairing. But so we’re going around, and then that first day happens. We go to sleep in the Nazareth Hotel, and I wake up the next morning really, really early, and I get my Bible out, and I’m reading through and flipping through, and the Holy Spirit just puts 1 Corinthians chapter 12 on my heart, which talks about the gifts of the Spirit.

And one of the gifts that really stands out, you know, to some is the gift of prophecy, some the gift of wisdom, the knowledge, you know, Tongues, healing, and healing just really stood out to me that morning. And I went back to the room and, you know, woke Christine up again, unfortunately for her. I was like, hey, honey, I think we’re going to meet someone with the gift of healing on this trip.

And that was in the context of our personal struggle with infertility. And she’s like, well, you know, God can heal us directly if he wants to. He doesn’t have to heal us through someone else. And I was like, well, that’s true, but it says right here this is one of the ways. So, you know, I’d been married long enough to know not to push that, so we moved on.

That night we went to a guest church service. Every Compassion Center has a church that pairs with it, and the pastor was this man named Alabachu, and he’s out there, he’s giving this really impassioned sermon on Joseph. Completely in Amharic, so we can’t understand a word of it other than Yosef. I mean, and Ethiopians, they speak Amharic. It’s a very different language, standalone consonants, like betamt eru means very good.

Give you a sense of how different it is. It’s very cool though. And at the end of it, he starts taking prayer requests out of the audience. And then our translator decides it’s time to kick in there and like tell us a little bit about what’s going on because there’s a group that’s brought this woman who’s a friend of theirs with them, up to him and he’s like, okay, he’s going to pray for her. She has a demon and he’s going to pray that the demon leaves her.

And I was like, well, this is definitely out of the ordinary for Westerners. So he starts praying over her and she starts screaming and 2 notes come out of her voice at the same time. And for those of you who are musical, it wasn’t harmony, it was dissonance. And I tapped Christine, I’m like, are you hearing this? This is crazy.

I’ve never seen anything like this. And, you know, service wraps, a couple more people get their prayers, you know, prayer requests answered, and then we decide we’re going to walk over to Alabachu and just thank him for the time. And I can see I’m running a little long here, so I’ll try to make it a little shorter.

I walk up to him, but before I can get to him, he points to me, he says, you, I’m supposed to pray for you. I was like, this is going to be awesome. He’s like, do you have anything that is— that you’re suffering with, any pain or anything? And I was like, yeah, dying to talk about this infertility struggle, but it’s a fiercely private issue for my wife. You know, she just— she had shared it with some friends and had had some just people with all the best intentions say some pretty hurtful things, and I couldn’t betray her trust by voicing it in front of the entire mission team.

But what I had is about 5 years earlier, I had really bad heart pains and I’d had really bad jaw pains, and I went in to go get checked out, and I thought that I had heart issues. Turned out I had severe acid reflux, and I was taking prescription medication. And that Buna that we’d been drinking this whole time is the one thing that the prescription medication couldn’t help me with. So I was in misery, like from a physical standpoint. Emotionally and spiritually, I was super jacked up.

It was amazing to be there in Ethiopia, but it was painful. And so I told Alabacho about that. So he lays one hand here and one hand on my back, and we start praying together. And he’s praying in a mix of English, Amharic, and tongues. And it’s just, you hear this Yesu and Yesu and Yesu over and over again.

And I don’t feel anything happening here, but I feel this warm tingling sensation come over my body. And We go home, or as he finishes, he gives me a vision. He’s like, hey, God gave me a vision for you as I prayed for you. He doesn’t always give me a vision, but for you, he gave me one. He said, you’re holding a piece of paper in your hands and that paper turns to ash.

And then he’s given you a new piece of paper and he’s given you a key. And he said, the piece of paper is your business and your business is going to turn to ash, but don’t worry because God’s going to give you a new business. And the key is a key to unlock anything. I’m still figuring out what the key is in my life, but I will tell you that the business thing happened exactly as he said. But that’s not really where our story ends here.

What happened is later on the trip, I got some time alone with Alabachu. And before I get there, wait, I think it’s pretty important you guys hear this part. So I woke up the next morning after he prayed over me. And the acid reflux was gone. And I kept drinking Buna, and the acid reflux was gone.

And I stopped taking my prescription medication, and the acid reflux is gone. That was 2013, and it’s 2026, and I now drink 2 double-shot lattes every morning, and I love it, and I thank God every time because it’s, you know, this is amazing. If anyone suffered with this It’s horrible. But later, that wasn’t even the best part. Later on the trip, I got time alone with Alabachu, with Christine, and I told him about our struggle with infertility.

And he prayed over us. And he said, you know, at the end of praying over us, he said, you know, God gave me another vision for you. Your wife is going to be pregnant this year, and you will have a baby next year. Christine remembers him saying baby boy. I just remember baby.

But it was December 26th of that year that we found out that Christine was pregnant. And the following summer, Gabe was born. And as you can see, spoiler alert, we have 3 kids now. So you can wave your hands to everybody, guys.

So to God be the glory. And I want to challenge you. Scripture says it’s impossible to please God without faith. And we had these wonderful missionaries, Aaron and Rachel, get up here this morning and talk about opportunities to serve in missions. You might think that you’re going over there to help someone out, but you might find that what’s really happening is you’re going to receive healing and transformation yourself.

We serve a God that didn’t stop doing miracles 2,000 years ago. He still is at work. And the good news is, even for those of you who don’t know me well, you probably know like Brad Cole or, you know, other people here who have known me for a long time and can vouch that I am not a nutter. So, what I want to do is I want to close us out here in prayer. If you will, bow your heads with me.

Heavenly Father, we love you, God. We thank you that you love us. We thank you that you are still at work even to this day. You are the God of miracles. You are the God of healing.

Jesus, your word says that by his stripes we are healed. By your stripes we are healed. God, I pray for everybody that’s here today and for everybody that will watch this video eventually. Lord, I pray that you will draw those that don’t know you to Christ. I pray that for those of us who do know you, that you will bring us ever closer, Lord, that you will help us to abide fully in you each day in every way.

God, help us to expect the miraculous. Help us to live each day to the fullest in you. Help us to understand and to recognize the good works that you prepared in advance for us to do. God, help us with eyes to see, ears to hear, a heart to know and love you, a mind to memorize your scriptures, a mouth to sing your praise and to share the gospel. God, I pray for an anointing over this body that you will unite us, that we would be one just as you, Jesus, and the Father are one.

And out of that sense of unity, the world will believe that the Father sent the Son. And God, I pray that you will give each of us sensitivity to those times that you call us to step out in faith, And give us the courage and the discipline to do so. And I pray all these things in the holy, precious, and mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved. Amen. Thank you.

Amen. Thanks, Dustin. Let’s all stand together and worship our living hope, who is the only one capable of doing such miraculous things.
