A Seat at the Table- 2 Samuel 9:1-13
Being on the receiving end of an unexpected act of kindness or hospitality can be jarring, particularly when you consider that we live in a world that is all too frequently marked by unkindness and inhospitality.
But living in that world also means that we have unlimited opportunities to practice unexpected kindness and hospitality towards others — the type of kindness and hospitality we see depicted in today’s Scripture reading. And more importantly, the type of kindness and hospitality that God lavishes upon us every moment of every day.

Bigger and Better is more than just a game from youth group days. It can be a way of thinking that translates into a way of living. The world tells us that bigger is better. More is better. But is it?
When the unexpected happens and you’re sheltered-in-place due to a worldwide coronavirus pandemic, you may find yourself thinking more about the little things. Small things that weren’t even on your radar a few weeks ago when our lives were focused on all those “bigger” and “better” and “more important” things.
All of a sudden even a little can be a lot. We’ll see why this Sunday.
