Life often looks very different than we hope or expect. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a moment, while others shatter us completely and shake our faith. We feel disappointed and disillusioned, and we quietly start to wonder about the reality of God’s goodness or the wisdom of His plan for our lives.

Today’s message will take a look at the biblical account of Naaman, a wealthy and highly decorated warrior who was used to receiving accolades and deference from others around him. But Naaman, as with so many of us, found himself in the midst of a God-sized problem that he could neither understand nor do anything to resolve on his own. And that’s when Naaman began to discover that our life disappointments can often be the divine appointments our souls desperately need in order to radically encounter God.
